Recently, B+T joined the City of Worcester’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Cemetery for the final presentation to the public by a group of landscape architecture students from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst led by Professor Carey Clouse.  The goal of the studio design course was to re-envision the Newton Square area of Newton Hill at Elm Park.  Many of the students’ designs continued to incorporate the very popular tennis and basketball courts, but others explored additional features such as terraced seating to enjoy the concerts held there, a history walk, an edible landscape, community gathering spaces, as well as a sensory garden.  It was a pleasure to see the creativity exhibited by these future landscape architects!
