Senior Civil Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead several high profile projects and work collaboratively as part of our multidisciplinary team. As part of our Civil Engineering discipline, you will work with our team of civil engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects and environmental planning specialists to provide Project Management and civil engineering support on a variety of public and private sector projects including mixed-use, commercial, redevelopment, and renewable energy projects. About the Position The successful candidate will be relied on to provide Project Management responsibilities, civil engineering expertise, mentoring and guidance to junior staff, and QA/QC review of works in collaboration with our design teams. The position can be based from either our Southborough or Plymouth offices, with a hybrid schedule incorporating work from home days. Travel will be required (mostly within Massachusetts, but occasionally to other New England states) to perform occasional field work and attend project-related meetings and public hearings. Responsibilities and assignments may include, but are not limited to: Project Management and scheduling with guidance from Project Director Address client coordination and inquiries with guidance from Project Director Represent the Company at meetings with clients and governmental agencies, including evening meetings, hearings and events Prepare and check various hydrology, hydraulic, earthwork and quantity calculations Review project designs and stamp design plan sets Manage work assignments on a day-to-day basis Ensure assignments are completed accurately and on-schedule Research, obtain and analyze data and information to prepare written reports, conceptual designs, or calculations, which may be complex Project permit application preparation and/or review Technical report preparation and/or review Technical specification preparation and/or review Perform construction administration services including preparation of field reports to document services Undertake field work including site visits, site reconnaissance, and observations Proficiency with equipment and software pertinent to the performance of engineering tasks Train and mentor junior staff Participate in professional activities and organizations, including evening and weekend events Assistance to Principals with business development and proposal preparation Requisite Skills and Experience · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering · Valid Massachusetts PE License · Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Civil Engineering · Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D · Proficiency with the MassDEP Stormwater Management Handbook · Proficiency with HydroCAD and StormCAD or equivalent · Significant experience with the design and permitting of medium-to-large development projects in Massachusetts · Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on assignments · Strong written and oral communication · Strong interpersonal and client interaction skills · Valid driver's license · Legally authorized to work in the United States · Willing to undergo a background check · Comfortable working in a hybrid setting · Comfortable working in an onsite setting · Comfortable commuting to this job's location · Must be located in commutable distance to either Southborough or Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States Job Type · Full-time; Exempt; Salaried Compensation, Benefits, and Culture B+T is offering highly competitive compensation as well as a signing bonus for the selected candidate.
