Gerry Preble, President
Gerry has served as the President since 2013 succeeding the founder who had served as the President
since the company’s inception in 1984. Gerry started at the company as a construction site inspector and subsequently progressed to achieve licensure, professional recognition and management responsibilities. His intention is to continue the tradition of a progressive company at which people can advance their professional careers and provide exemplary services for our new and long-term clients.
Gerry has over 35 years of civil and environmental engineering experience, and serves as a consultant
for major corporations as the client’s representative for strategic development, environmental investigations, and water resources planning. He has extensive experience providing consulting
services to Planning Boards, Conservation Commissions and Zoning Boards of Appeals
who rely on his evaluation of proposed development projects.
Richard Kosian, Executive Vice President, Director of Business Development
Rich has more than 40 years of experience in design and construction services for civil engineering projects. He is a registered professional engineer in all New England states, and is a LEED® Accredited Professional.
Since joining Beals+Thomas in 1985, Rich has been responsible for constructed projects totaling more than 2 million square feet of office/R&D development, and over 1,000 residential units. His experience includes commercial developments, residential developments, industrial facilities, athletic facilities,
health care facilities, hotels, and utility infrastructure projects. Because of his significant experience
in field engineering and construction administration, he is highly sensitive to the practical aspects of engineering design, project management, constructability and cost.
Daniel M. Feeney, PE, LEED AP, Principal
As a Principal with Beals and Thomas, and Director of Operations, Dan manages several of the
firm’s long-term projects, many of which include stormwater management design consistent with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Stormwater Management Standards, site layout and grading, construction cost estimating, utility research and design, earthwork analyses, water supply
and fire protection studies, site work specification preparation, construction administration and air quality analyses. Dan is also an adept leader, providing his project team with guidance and knowledge throughout the process of civil and site design, and permitting for the firm’s industrial, commercial and residential development projects.
Daniel M. Feeney, PE, LEED AP, Principal

Eric J. Las, PE, LEED AP, Principal
Eric is responsible for project direction and management, civil and environmental engineering,
and permitting for a range of industrial, commercial, residential, conservation and restoration projects.
He is particularly experienced with municipal review services, public hearings, bond estimates and construction observations. He is also very knowledgeable of wetland, pond and stream ecology,
wetland creation, restoration and enhancement, and pond management techniques.
He is respected for his expert testimony services.
