Beals and Thomas, Inc. was proud to have our Principal, Sarah Stearns, attend the Society of Wetland Scientists Annual Meeting this week in Providence, Rhode Island!
This year’s theme — "Navigating the Waters: Wetland Science, Evolving Policy, and the Future of Our Landscape" — brought together leading voices in wetland science, policy, and practice. Sarah joined professionals from around the world to collaborate on critical topics including climate change, Indigenous-led restoration, water resource management, and soil carbon sequestration.
Held at the Rhode Island Convention Center, the event fostered valuable dialogue on how science and design can inform one another — and how both can help shape policy to better protect vulnerable aquatic ecosystems.
