Twenty eight years ago, I co-founded Beals and Thomas, Inc. with the objective to provide consulting services to support the development and conservation of land and water resources. Over the years, this simple vision has provided the foundation for the firm’s reputation and success. The ability to balance our clients’ goals with our ethic of environmental responsibility has been an integral part of the firm’s culture and position in the industry.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with numerous wonderful clients and have developed invaluable professional relationships. However, the greatest reward for me is the satisfaction of having provided the opportunity and encouragement for our staff to develop their professional careers at B+T. I am extremely proud of the outstanding professional team that we have formed.

On January 1, 2012, we executed an ownership and management transition that will reduce my day-to-day involvement in the operations of the firm. Gerry Preble now serves as the firm’s President and Rich Kosian serves as the Executive Vice President. Over the next few years, I will gradually reduce my role in the firm’s operations and projects. I will still be available to assist clients and our new management team as needed.

I am proud to serve as the new President of Beals and Thomas, Inc. and am excited about the future opportunities for the company. During the past 28 years, we have established a reputation for excellence in serving our client’s needs while advancing the practice of land planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying, environmental science and regulatory consulting.

We are distinguished by the dedication of our Principals, Associates and Staff, most of whom have chosen to establish long term careers at B+T. As President, I intend to maintain our corporate culture in a manner that continues to foster professional development and long term career growth.
