Arlington 360, located in Arlington, Massachusetts, offers a boutique living experience minutes from all that Boston has to offer. Situated on the 18-acre site of the former Symmes Hospital, Arlington 360 provides stunning views of the Boston skyline to its residents. The redevelopment project constructed 176 residential units among two high-rise towers and seven town home-style buildings. Amenities such as a basketball court, community garden, playground and two public parks (the Hattie Symmes Park and Nora A. Brown Park) were included in the development. Approximately 11-acres of the site is preserved as open space, including the Summer Street Woods, an approximately 7-acre area protected as conservation land.
Beals and Thomas, Inc. was retained for the project in 2007 to provide permitting, civil engineering and surveying services. Tasked with providing value engineering and to prepare construction plans and specifications compliant with the approvals for the site, B+T refined the utility design and stormwater management system to more efficiently work with the needs of the finished development. Later, site design services were provided to coordinate the development of Brightview Assisted Living Facility on the lower portion of the site.
